Lake Clark National Park Alaska

Videography Workshop- September 5 to September 11, 2018

Early September is a beautiful time for seeing fall colors in the higher terrain. This workshop also shows you the late end of the salmon run, giving you chances to see the spawning and dying salmon and the bears fishing along the shorelines.

Day 1:
-1:00 p.m. check in for flight from Anchorage to The Farm Lodge. The flight to the lodge takes you through the scenic Lake Clark Pass, where you will see glaciers and glacial streams in one of Alaska’s most beautiful mountainous settings.

-Check in to The Farm Lodge. Lodging includes a room with private bath, home-cooked Alaskan meals, and daily maid service.
-Orientation and setup with professional producer/host Doug Gardner.

Day 2:
-Floatplane fly-out for filming Brown Bears, spawning Salmon, and scenic landscape. This is peak time for filming bears at remote locations in Katmai National Park and Preserve.
-Optional evening shoot on Lake Clark by boat.

Day 3:
-Floatplane Fire and Ice Tour. Travel by floatplane over some of Alaska's must rugged and breathtaking landscape. This day takes you to see active volcanoes, glaciers, mountains, and tundra landscape.

Day 4:
-Floatplane fly-out for filming Brown Bears, spawning Salmon, and scenic landscape.
-Optional evening shoot on Lake Clark by boat.

Day 5:
-Boat on Lake Clark for scenic landscape. Lake Clark is over 40 miles long, sitting in the edge of the Chigmit Mountains. This day in the boat offers access to spectacular landscape and scenery as well as shoreline habitat for eagles and waterfowl.

Day 6:
-Floatplane shuttle to Kontrashibuna Lake.
-Local hiking to the Lake Clark National Park Service Visitor's Center, Tanalian Falls, and Kontrashibuna Lake.
-Optional evening shoot on Lake Clark by boat.

Day 7:
-9:00 a.m. check out and return flight to Anchorage.

$8475.00 per person (party of 2) in standard room, or
$8625.00 per person (party of 2) in deluxe suite room.

The Farm Lodge is now taking reservations for 2018 through 2020. A 50% deposit is required in order to hold a reservation against other inquiries, with balance due 2 months before the date of your stay. The deposit is refundable up to 80% only if all cancellations are made no less than 60 days before the scheduled travel date. If you are planning a visit in 2019 or 2020, you can take advantage of our 2018 rates by making reservations before January 1 of 2019. Important Notes
*Due to the varied age of our staff and the wide diversity of groups we host at The Farm Lodge, we do not allow alcoholic beverages in the main lodge building (dining room). The Farm Lodge does not serve lunch in its dining room but provides excellent box lunches for each day of your stay. The above packages include the transportation of up to 50 pounds of luggage per person between Anchorage and Lake Clark, with everything over 50 pounds traveling at 90 cents per pound, each way. The package rates also include park service fees and taxes. The rates do not include voluntary gratuities.
